TELx Update (10/4) Balancer Double Incentives: TEL/BAL & TEL/BAL/USDC LPs are now each earning 750,000 TEL & 500 BAL a week! Participation requires removing your LPT from any staking contracts and simply holding the LPT(s) in your wallet. The rewards period began at 00:00 UTC on 10/4 and will continue indefinitely, weekly, with airdrops distributed in BAL & TEL the following week. Reminder: Parker will join the BAL Discord this Wednesday for an AMA w/the BAL community. Balancer Single Incentives: All other TELx Balancer incentives contracts have been updated and deployed to the TELx site. The incentives period for each will begin this Wednesday and will resume indefinitely at least until 12/22. Quickswap Double Incentives: After this weekly period ending 10/6, we will deploy the new incentives contracts earning dQUICK on TEL/QUICK, TEL/USDC, TEL/WETH. If you are participating in these pools, you will need to remove your LPT and stake in the new contracts. Update on pending transaction issues The node that connects our backend with the Ethereum network died on Friday. It was revived yesterday morning, but still lagged behind in processing transactions. This is a known issue that we were hoping to wait until the next version to address, but given the two failures this month, we have decided to go ahead and migrate to a new solution for connecting to the blockchain that will be more resilient and scalable ahead of schedule. The migration is now complete and we expect things to be working properly within a few hours.

We’re excited to share that Telcoin CEO Paul Neuner will appear before the Nebraska Legislature today to talk about opportunities in the fintech space, and more specifically how the state could benefit from legislation geared toward turning Nebraska into a decentralized finance hub. The hearing will center on legislation involving a proposed digital asset banking charter. Nebraska’s charter seeks to expand upon what Wyoming did last year by introducing a clause for consumers, not just institutions. Paul will be joined by the former Director of the Nebraska Department of Banking and Finance, Mark Quandahl, who is now representing Telcoin as Strategic Advisor and General Counsel for the United States. The new bills have been spearheaded by Senator Mike Flood.

Update from Paul Neuner Hi everyone. I know there has been a lot of anticipation building, so I wanted to update the community directly on the current status. We are delaying our public release a bit, but actually progressing very well to the end goal. We are happy to announce that we released the second version of our beta remittance application on Friday, and have begun real money transfers to GCash today. We appreciate everyone’s patience and will follow up later this week on the experience and test results. We have decided to delay our public release until the next beta version cycle at the end of November. I know that won't make the community happy, but I think it is the responsible decision. The main reason for this delay is actually a positive one, which is that we are ahead of schedule in our Android development, and expect Android to be caught up to iOS by the end of this month. We have always billed ourselves as caring deeply about financial inclusion, and we’d be leaving too many people behind with an iOS only release - Android makes up more than 82% of the smartphone market in the Philippines. The original plan of the previous team was something I was never very excited about frankly - an interim iOS-only remittance release, whereby the recipient does not use the Telcoin App (and funds go directly into the recipient's GCash or other partner e-wallet balance). We have successfully completed this original plan and will share this with everyone. But upon further deliberation, I decided that it doesn't make sense to publicly release a version that we are going to dump a month later. We want people using the Telcoin App on both sides of remittance corridors, and want to go straight to this full end-to-end experience. In terms of our road-map, we are still on course, but are simply bypassing a public release at this interim step. I know people want to see a public release as soon as possible, but we want to do this in the most responsible and effective manner. If anyone has questions in the meantime, feel free to post them to CMs and I will try to address them in our upcoming Community Update which will share this new version with everyone.
